Three of the "Prodicators", Ann-Therese Arstorp, Cathrine Tømte and Ilka Nagel, followed Neil Selwyns invitation to connect. They organised and particpated in two local CSET (Critical Studies of education and technology) meetings in Norway.
CSET is a global initiative where local groups from around the world gather and discuss the common theme: ‘Problematising education and digital technology’ addressing the same questions. For more information, please see the invitation to connect on Prof. Neil Selwyn's blog.
Cathrine Tømte led the event at the University of Agder in Kristiansand and Ilka Nagel the one Oslo (which was supported by both Østfold Univsersity College and University of Oslo), where also Ann-Therese participated.
The CSET events were a truly inspiring experience, offering a deep dive into the complex landscape of EdTech. The day flew by, filled with thought-provoking discussions on power, economy, politics, ethics, and beyond. Engaging with passionate, knowledgeable participants brought fresh perspectives and challenged conventional thinking. It was an eye-opening opportunity to explore critical viewpoints and reflect on the broader implications of technology in education. A day that left us energized, inspired, and eager to continue the conversation.
